About Us

At Goose, architecture and joinery are one process, not two. We design the space and build what fills it. The same people who work out how a room holds together also draw, make and install the joinery inside it. Nothing is handed off, and nothing is lost between the drawing and the making.

That comes from how Mathew, our founder, was trained: carpentry first, then over a decade across construction, then architecture. It means we see the on-site problems while we're still at the drawing board, and design them out before they reach the workshop or the wall.

Based in North London we work across London, Suffolk and Norfolk, the latter two being Mathew's home ground, where our roots run deep. Every commission is drawn around how a client actually wants to live, and made to last.

Drawn and made as one.

We design in three dimensions, not just on plan so you can see and walk through the space before a single wall goes up, and so we catch what doesn't work while it's still easy to change. It's the same instinct that runs through everything we make: kitchens, joinery, freestanding furniture. Whatever the piece, it's desgined and made by the same hands.
